How this class works.

This class in Canvas will have a mix of students who are taking it fully online, and those who will be participating in the face-2-face section. The assignments and projects are the same.

Basically there is an assignment for each week, and it is due the next Tuesday at 11:59 PM. Yes right before midnight. The Syllabus will discuss the specifics.

You follow the link on the home page to the Course Content. There you will find each Unit which represents 1 week worth of work to do. There will be two evaluation assignments and the final project and final exam that will not be part of a Unit. They will be assigned and you will have additional time to complete those.

You ask questions by using the Unit Discussions. Help each other out with general questions on how to do something or the assignment. You can email me regarding grades etc. I will monitor the discussion forums to answer questions.

You will turn in assignments using the Assignment tool here in Canvas. You will notice that each Unit content page has a link to the specific assignment for that Unit, with detailed Instructions. Many of the assignments will be from the book.

You should read through each chapter in the text book, and work through each example and Hands On, exercise. Those will give you experience and confidence.

There is some software you will need to install on your computers. It is free. It is listed in Unit 1 and other locations as needed.
