Unit 2 - Hyperlinks and File Management

Welcome to Unit 2. In Unit 1 you learned the basics of a web page structure, as you worked through chapters 1 & 2 in the textbook. Now you are ready to learn about Hyperlinks along with absolute and relative links. This will also introduce you to the importance of file management when it comes to web site design and development. Time spent understanding this here will help you have a successful and happy time in this class.

Objectives

Create a webpage with hyperlinks that work.
Know the difference between a relative and absolute hyperlink and when it is appropriate to use each.
Demonstrate the ability to build a folder structure and pages for your website.

Readings

Chapters 3 from text book

Work through all of the hands on exercises in this chapter as you read.
Complete the Review Questions at the end of the Chapter.
Watch the tutorial videos below. There is some key information.

Assignment

Work through chapter 3 in the textbook. Then complete the Case Study on page 65. This is what you will turn in for credit. Detailed Assignment instructions are found here.
