Week 2 Overview

Our first essay due date approaches quickly.  The end of this week, in fact!  But don't worry; we'll spend all the time leading up to it getting you prepared.  Each task this week is designed to ensure success in the final draft of Essay 1.

If you have any doubts about the essay as you're working on it, I encourage you to post in the Summary Essay Questions discussion forum.  You'll get a quick response from me and/or others in the class.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this week, you should be able to:

1. Paraphrase another author's work effectively, using signal phrases.
2. Quote another author's work effectively, using signal phrases and proper punctuation.
3. Find pre-formatted APA and MLA citations for our TCC library sources.
4. Summarize another author's work for an audience who has not read it.
